Life Update: Beauty Queen Of Only 18

Hello my lovelies! I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful time of year; I know I am!

Christmastime is my favorite time of year without a doubt. I just love spending time with friends
and family, picking out gifts for others, and just relaxing! I love the dramatic makeup looks of winter and the delicious scents available right now.

I recently turned 18 years old [ hence the Maroon 5 lyrics in the title of this post ;) ]
I can't even believe that I am 18; I'm an adult now!

I have taken some makeup photos which I will post tomorrow, so keep your watch for that.

Here are some recent outfits and photos:

There was a snowstorm recently, which means I get to layer up! Love love love.

Here's a photo of me on the eve of my birthday. I absolutely love this dress. It's from the
Vera Wang Princess collection.

My favorite clothing piece for winter so far? My houndstooth coat of course. (:

I should have a post up tomorrow; I'm wishing everyone a good weekend. (:

Outfit Of The Day: Thigh Highs and Leather

Hello lovelies! It's finally the weekend...TGIF! (:
So the title of this post: "Thigh Highs and Leather" probably freaked you out a bit! worries! This outfit isn't as crazy as it sounds, haha!

Today I stepped out of my comfort zone by experimenting with thigh highs, and I have
fallen in love. Thigh highs are a nice alternative to full tights; as much as I love tights,
they aren't always the most comfortable option.

To accentuate my thigh highs, I added these beautiful heeled suede boots. I got the deal of a lifetime
on these bad boys: $10 on clearance and they are real suede...BARGAINOUS OR WHAT?! I didn't think they were suede at first because they are just a simple pair from Target, but I investigated them and was so extremely pleased to find out that they are suede. I absolutely adore these boots; they are appropriate for daytime while still being intriguing. At first, these boots were not the most comfortable shoes in the world, but I've finally broken them in after a couple weeks. I have found that they are my go-to shoes at the moment!

What do you's the same scarf from my last outfit post! Whoops ;)
I just adore the print and scarves are always one of my favorite accessories for autumn.

All together, this outfit is an accurate representation of my fall wardrobe..
a lot of black, boots, and layering! I posed for these photos next to a gorgeous tree because
I just love, love, love the vibrant red color of the leaves during this time of year!

Black V Neck: It's an old staple I've had for a while!
Scarf: Charlotte Russe
Skirt: Target
Knee Highs: Burlington's, Brand: Steve Madden
Boots: Target
Belt: American Eagle
Leather Jacket: TJ Maxx

Please let me know what your fall staples are and how you are styling them! (:

Where has Sierra been?!

Hello lovelies...long time no post.

I had intentions to post during October and to do some really fun Halloween tutorials...but to be completely honest, blogging constantly during October was not a main priority. Many of you know that I am a senior in high school, which means I am making some pretty life-changing decisions within the next few months.

During October, I have been filling out university applications, taking standardized tests (SAT, ACT), and trying to keep my life semi-organized. Most application deadlines are November 1st, so I have been in a scurry trying to finish them up in time. On top of college choices, my classes seemed to just continuously add projects, tests, and quizzes. It seemed that everything around me just pilled up during October and my anxiety kicked in with a great force. I was completely overwhelmed and needed to sort out my priorities. I'm sure you all know what I mean...everyone is a student during their life during some point!

I just decided to take the month off of blogging to ease my schedule down a bit. Blogging should not feel like a burden...and I want to be completely overjoyed when writing a new post. As sad as I am to admit it, I was not looking forward to trying to do posts during October by the middle of the month.

I hope that I will be able to post more over the next couple weeks. I need to make a definite blogging schedule...but I am also afraid that if I try to plan too much, I will stifle my creativity. Blogging is a trial and error process, and I'm still trying to figure it out. I hope you will all be patient and understanding. (:

Outfit Of The Day: Little Black Dress

Hello lovelies! I hope you are all doing well. (:

This weekend, my family and I took a roadtrip to Cincinnati. The weather was absolutely gorgeous!
The sun was shining, but there was a light breeze. Perfect weather for me.

I decided to just wear a simple black dress but have some fun with accessories. I paired this pretty floral scarf with the dress to add a pattern. I also added these glammed up combat boots to make the look more interesting.

Dress - Marshall's
Tights -Target
Scarf - Charlotte Russe
Boots - Vera Wang

I hope you all had an absolutely amazing weekend. (:

My Current Favorites: Beauty and Random Stuff

Hello lovelies! Long post :(

I have been so neglectful and I am so so sorry everyone. I need to manage my time
better. This week has been crazy; It's my last Homecoming week of high school...crazy!
Our general theme is Disney, so I get to dress up as Minnie Mouse tomorrow. I am beyond excited!
I will definitely try to post photos of my Minnie Mouse costume made from items that are easily

So for this post, I want to just fill you all in on some of my current favorites! I have some
beauty-related favorites of course, but I have also added some random favorites, well, because
I just felt like sharing them with you. (:

Oh my my my. This candle is my obsession for autumn. At the beginning of this month, I stopped
by Bath and Body Works to check out their fall collection. I love most of the collection, but this candle
was calling my name. The website describes the candle as: "Wrap yourself in a warm blend of bergamot, mahogany and a delicate veil of musk." This may be my favorite scent EVER. My mother and I were joking about how it kinda smells like a man, but like a good man scent ...hahaha

Period films like Marie Antoinette and Pride & Prejudice are just breathtakingly beautiful to me.
I love every aspect of them: the fashion, the acting, the way they can take you back in time.

I have also been reading more books like Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I love the language that the authors used and how different literature used to be.

As far as eye makeup, I have been loving warm, plum tones. They are so fall inspired.

I have a ton of allergies, so makeup can be difficult sometimes. I have tried so many different makeup removers, but these are the best I have tried! They are very gentle, so they don't irritate my eyes or skin.

Jean Pierre Cosmetics: Pro Age Daily Cleansing Towelettes
Neutrogena: Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover

I have been reaching for this nail polish almost every time I paint my nails. It dries so quickly and I love the shiny finish. I don't have to add a topcoat every time I paint my nails because this polish is so long lasting. It really can last up to 10 days, which is AMAZING for a nail polish.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro in Stiletto Red

Okay it's random food favorites time...hahaha

1. Lemon Curd: This is so yummy, oh my. I love how it does not taste acidic, even if it is citrus.
1. Marshmallows: I have been obsessed with marshmallows my whole life, but we recently installed a fire pit in my I can roast marshmallows at any time. PERFECT!!
3. Candy Corn Taffy: Probably the most delicious candy ever. I always look forward to these coming back in stores during autumn. Only downside, I could eat a whole bag. It is impossible to have self control with this candy...haha

What are some your current favorites? (:
